CUC PHUONG BIRD HIDES – NORTHERN VIETNAM

CUC PHUONG BIRD HIDES

Cuc Phuong Bird Hides is a network of bird-hides located in Cuc Phuong National Park – Northern Vietnam. These Hides give you a great opportunity of getting good quality photos of some of the most beautiful birds of Vietnam.

  • Main targets: Tonkin Partridge (Endemic – Subspecies), Blue-rumped Pitta (Near Endemic), Bar-bellied Pitta (Near Endemic)
  • Other species that can be photographed from these hides include: Rufous-throated Fulvetta, Siberian Thrush, Orange-headed Thrush, Japanese Thrush, White-tailed Flycatcher, Fujian Niltava, Rufous-tailed Robin,…and more.

TECHNICAL INFO & SUBJECT DISTANCES:

  • Max Participants: 6 Persons
  • Lenses: Long lenses of 500 to 600mm are ideal (Or 300mm +TC)
  • Subject Distances: 4 – 10 meters. Main activity at 5.50 meters.
  • Getting to the hides: The short walk to the hides is a little steep so footwear with a good grip are recommended.
